Brilliant thanks for the link.
Good topic
I've got loads left over, will have a little look
Sorta wished id just bought a whole turkey now.lol
It seems a whole lot easier to disect if its in bits, like couple of drumsticks and a load of dried out breast meat lol.
Its just a big ugly lump in the bottom of the fridge now (turkey that is) frankly i cant wait to get it used up.
Turkey an ham pie it is,gonna be a big one by the looks of it..
Turkey and ham pie sounds really nice
Yep, it was turkey on 25th and gammon today so we have the left overs from both PLUS (importantly) the left over gravy from the turkey which goes into the pie. I have kept the fat & jelly from the turkey roaster tray so I can make more gravy if I need to AND I kept back 1/2 pint of the stock made from the turkey giblets.
Turkey and ham (gammon) pie will be on Thursday. Tomorrow will be a Turkey curry that uses up all other left over turkey. Good curry - mostly home ground spices etc, not bottled stuff.
Also PROPER rice ie sweat onion, spring onion, garlic, a clove or two and a few cardamoms in oil then chuck in the rice (I never wash polished (white) rice) and stir over heat until the rice is quite hot. Add 2.5 times the rice volume as cold water then bring QUICK to the boil, and boil until the liquid drops to the rice level. Turn the heat low as possible and COVER tightly until the rice is just soft (15 mins). NEVER stir the rice while it is cooking
