Don'tknowwhere I got this one from but tried it this morning and it is a bit moreish.
2 eggs, beaten with double fresh cream, some ground cinnamon, grated mature cheddar, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
Coat the bread and fry as normal french toast.

Just a little for a hint of taste diggy, I wondered about it too but it worked, unless of course you have a cheese allergy like our kid, he goes into anaphylactic shock if he gets anywhere near it.

Its just me, I hate cooked cheese, uncooked mild or smoked cheeses are nice but I have a phobia of cooked cheese nono

Used to have a version in the Navy called "Hammy, Eggy, Cheesy Topside". Quite a favourite. Found out where I saw the recipe, it was on BT Yahoo Homepage. Think I'm turning into a simpleton because I was searching all weeks papers for it it yesterday. Doh!

not too much cinnamon star or it will over power it. I will certainly be having it again, I'm still full.

The kids say to make up the French Toast then put lime juice (perhaps they really meant 'lemon') and it tastes just like pancakes. - I prefer tomatoe sauce instead.
