Simple question (I hope!)
Can you still buy "Wallasey" New Potatoes anywhere? (as in, those grown at the local Market Gardens, on Leasowe Rd)?

Thanks b_m, of course back in the day, we used to just get them at the local greengrocers - but I'm not sure (from over here) if that's still possible.. not many independent greengrocers left, are there?

Theres a few market gardens down leasowe Rd advertising potatoes, you could always ask. Molloyd dont grow anymore, they buy in, all plants and shrubs come on large container lorries from Netherlands and belgium!
They are letting out their owm allotment space at the back, what could be better than growing your own `wallasey` veg n fruit!!!
In after a Wiki discount tho.....
