Have you spoke to the coastguard, one was on the loose a few weeks ago and was found by the pilot boat opposite Seacombe and was recovered by the fire brigade rib, those lads will know if one was in the Mersey, didn't hear on the radio about one today, if it had gone past Perch rock we would have seen it, there was a porpoise watch team at the fort today as well if they had seen one the would have notified people.

Nice one, the river may look quiet at times but there's lots of eyes watching it, Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and the pilots are always on the ball when it comes to the river.

Glad you got her back safe and sound. How did she slip her moorings ? Rope chafed through, or have you got to go on the Knots for Beginners course again? grin
