New Chester Road has been closed between the Village Inn & VW dealership, all the way up to the Bromborough retail park crossing. Unmarked police cars, fire engines and ambulances on site. Anybody know the cause of all this?

Just getting there now, head on collision I think

oh god!!

I thought RTA but the length of the road closure and the amount of police made me think otherwise. I saw an ambulance leave the scene, and about 40mins later no change to the road closure.

Being such a main road, and a closing off so much of it, along with unmarked police cars ( Black Vauxhall Vectra's i think) in the middle of the road, kind of strikes me as odd.

Ah! It wasn't an unmarked police car then.

Thanks Wheels.

fatality Im lead to believe frown
No evidence to back this up, just word of mouth in the area.

They say boy racers are the ones causing trouble on the roads?

Ha! Load of rubbish! The evidence is staring you in the face.

What sort of idiot crashes a car going in a straight line?

Thats very unlucky looking at the damage to the cars frown

Unless someone had a heart attack at the wheel... think

Just a thought but dont you think it would be wise to blank off the number plates of the cars involved incase anyone viewing might recognise the owners and then possibly SH1t themselves thinking it may be a fatality!

Just my opinion but I personally would not like to see someone's car that I knew who was involved. I dont BTW.

I think anyone that needed to know that it was a fatality would have found out from the police / relatives before reading it here think

Is it confirmed that it was a fatal think

I know what you mean. Maybe that should be taken into consideration on future amateur wiki reports.
I believe this is also the reason why they sometimes cover the reg on car wrecks being driven on the back of recovery trucks.

Thats because those cars are Sorn'd or scrapped and when being transported on trucks the reg's will be picked up by ANPR and last owner contacted by DVLA asking why its still on the Road.

Confirm news of a death somebody?
Posted By: ex0__ Re: New Chester Road - 8th May 2011 8:39pm
Have to question how there could possibly be a fatality from this.

The cars themselves aren't badly damaged at all.

I don't understand either. 5 years ago I crashed head on with a Mitsubishi Shogun at 40 mph and walked out with barely a scratch. The car was a much bigger mess than either of them. They must have had a heart attack surely.

Not a Fatal. Was delt with as a "Maybe" to be safe. Far as im aware.
