Very hard to understand how these people are coping. More floods forecast and they must be completely exhausted.

Had to donate....just reading Dickens christmas carol again. Got some friends in carlise..not been a good year.earlier in year he had to temporarily move with his wife about 100 miles away for 6 months to get regular chemo for lump behind eye.was allowed home after it being partially succesful. Then gets flooded out and moved into temp accommodation , then doctors find some dodgy lumps on his spine. An annus horribilis ...

Without wishing to cause a argument, just stating the fact that letting thousands of refuges in then thousands of our own are facing this kind of trauma goes to show that we never no what's going to happen and there comes a time when resources are not there to help everyone. How many times have places been flooded but there was no money to prevent it happening again.

Add to that what we are spending on bombing IS and innocent people--crazy

Sue, I think you will find that the money for the refugees is being reimbursed from the foreign aid budget we already pay towards the refugees in the camps.
