'A 15-year-old British boy who plotted to behead police officers at an Anzac Day parade in Australia has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Blackburn teenager will serve at least five years for inciting terrorism and will only be released once he is no longer considered to be dangerous.'

Ah! the great British justice system.

Clearly the judge recognised that the lad had been brainwashed and left it to the medics to decide when he was free from the terrible ideas which had been planted in his psyche. The poor fellow obviously had had his head filled with the most extreme forms of hatred and did not have the intelligence to question what he he was being told.
The extremists prey on the weak minded and are very good at what they do.

So,why sentence him to life? If this was the case, a sentence of five years would be adequate.

If you re-read your first post you will see the difference:
"The Blackburn teenager will serve at least five years for inciting terrorism and will only be released once he is no longer considered to be dangerous."

If he had been sentenced to five years, he could be out in two and a half.
Unfortunately even minimum sentence (tariff) doesn't mean much, he will automatically considered for parole after doing 2 years.

The Government will apply for a zero tariff if your mum has been prime minister of the UK.Mark Thatcher was up to his neck in terrorism abroad (overthrow of a legitimate government)the dipstick walked away and The Nation had to eat dirt again.Ship the lad off to Isis the truth is, he is forever tainted, unlike Mark who is forever privileged.
