Just watching a report on a plot to kill The Queen and others at this Saturday's VJ celebrations . God I hope it doesn't happen it's very frightening and worrying. I would not go if it were me but then the IS have won. What with that and this march in Liverpool ,be glad when Saturday's over with.

Having just watched this account of a Japanese Prisoner of War, how grateful we must be ? It really shows how bloody marvellous and the hope and spirit they clung onto. Those young lads were amazing, and women too.

Truly, what do we have to moan about ?

You'll find his account further down on this BBC News page

Not so much 'marching', hunting them down would be a more accurate description.

Their march did not happen. The majority were kettled in at Left Luggage, at Lime Street Train Station. A few 'random' others got a proper scouse welcome.
