POLICE are trying to trace a sausage-
throwing thief who stole Oxo cubes
from a shop. The man walked into Sisson’s Butchers,
in George Street, in Pocklington
between 3.30pm and 4pm on Monday,
October 3, and took the bangers from a
display cabinet while the owner was in
the back of the store. After throwing them on to the
pavement outside, the man was
confronted by the butcher and asked to
leave. He then went to the nearby Co-
op store and stole four packets of the
stock cubes before walking towards Railway Street. The thief is white, with a tanned
complexion and a slim build, and is
about 5ft 8ins tall. He had short black
thinning hair and was wearing a lime
green shirt, jeans and black shoes. Anybody with any information about
