Exeter Magistrates' Court was told 62-year-old Whitworth had adjusted the steering wheel and could not see the speedometer's needle.

He was banned for two weeks because he needs a car to go for cancer treatment.

Phillippa Jefferies, defending, told the court: "He doesn't want to call an ambulance because that could be used by someone in greater need.

"He does rely on his car."

Whitworth was also ordered to pay £325 in fines and costs.

Anyone with the money to buy and run a Ferrari, can afford to sell it and pay for taxi's. Or alternatively, he could travel by Learjet.

WTF!!

It might only be his defence lawyer who says he's got Big C. If he's got a Ferrari then he's obviously ok for a few bob. He was speeding, no excuse. He could have killed someone else who didn't have anything wrong with them.

If he does need regular cancer treatment at the hospital he does nt need to call on taxi's whether he has the money or not, his gp can arrange for the transport ambulance to collect him and drop him off for his appointments
