Looks like we are getting a Christmas tree on the 29th April for one day only according to this report in the Daily Mirror :-

Totally agree and the fact that WH Smiths is closing down the following week makes it look even worse

Barking mad, but quite fun actually - will give the kids something to talk about! Sometimes something loopy creates a good community buzz and brings people together. So sorry to hear about WH Smith closing, though... I remember when there was M&S, Littlewoods, Co-op etc, and a proper big Christmas tree on the roundabout where the traffic lights are now. (And no, I'm not old enough to remember the monkey house!)

why not keep the money until christmas and then make it something special unlike every other christmas!!
