A Wirral mum fraudulently raked in more than £138,000 from the UK taxpayer – while living in Tunisia with her two youngest children.

Susan Elaine Flanagan claimed tens of thousands of pounds in benefits between May 2006 and November 2012 on the basis she was living in Prenton, even though she had moved her family to the sunny north African country.

The 56-year-old even set up a blog called “A Brit making a life in Tunisia”, posting on there and on social media about a catering business she had set up.

The paper's are constantly full of this kind of thing. It amazes me how they get away with it for so long. Actually it amazes me that they get away with it at all.
Hard working people trying to get their first house with their hard earned money have to go through stringent hoops to prove that money they are using as a deposit is legally theirs to use.
It's a joke and yet more and more people are cheating the system , Yet if on benefits it seems easy to cheat but if you work you are penalised as well as scrutinised.

There are other papers out there too. Not just the ones you read.

The free papers are the best.

This article was in the Wirral Globe and the Liverpool Echo.
I am a Daily Mail reader, and have been since the left wing "socialist" Robert Maxwell ran off with the The Daily Mirror workers pension fund. The papers I read have no influence on my political beliefs or my judgement of real people or their circumstances. To think Guardian readers are smart, Sun readers are thick and Mail readers are right wing is a false perception.

Yes, and those that go on about the likes of the Daily Mail etc are trying to give the impression they are high brow. LOL.

If you've ever called it the Daily Fail then you're exactly the person I'm talking about.

raftl You can get all the local news on the net.
Who needs the Daily fail eh smile
These cheats are taking money from those who are really in need, there is not enough to give them a leg up. That is the real tragedy of it. Nobody knocks those who are truly in a hard place, it's those who take the pish that get up peoples noses.
your talking rubbish there is more money goes unclaimed than there is "fiddled" isn't it funny the likes of Philip green and people like him don't pay the proper taxes and you lot take the bait when its thrown to you
