Liverpool has been named the UK’s most 'promiscuous city' in new sexual health poll

Liverpool has been named the UK’s most promiscuous city.

Liverpool was named ahead of Oxford and Newcastle as the place where people are most likely to experience one night stands.

Just over 2,000 single men and women aged 18 and over were asked, ‘Do you have regular one night stands?’ to which 42 per cent of those taking part said ‘yes’.

The study then broke down responses by region of residence in order to reveal the cities home to the ‘most promiscuous’ people in the UK.

Sarah Bailey of UKMedix.com, an online pharmacy specialising in sexual health, said: ‘We wanted to find out a little more about the attitudes that Britons have towards sex.

‘Whatever your sexual preferences, as long as you’re safe and responsible, that’s all that matters.’

Sometimes I wish I was younger.

Why ?

According to a recent survey 80% of 50-90 year olds are still sexually active, and with the rise (excuse the pun) in the use of Viagra this has led to a vastly increased promiscuity amongst the elderly.

How do we know this: the rates of STI's amongst that age group have DOUBLED in the last ten years.

Next time you hear a granny muttering about how they wouldn't have done that in their day just think, they probably wouldn't, but they're making up for it now.
