Have heard some thoughts that he may be covering up/taking the rap for his son
Similar case a few years ago also involved a local cricketer/umpire who was also a church Preacher .
Malcolm Barber is not taking the rap for anybody. He denies everything, this in spite of his business partner admitting that 100's of pensioners have lost the their life savings invested in guaranteed interest bearing bonds invested with Barbers firm. The investors had been advised that they were investing in no risk investments
The Echo reports on a 75 year old who has lost everything. In spite of the additional trauma that these people are going through having to leave home early in the morning to travel by public transport to give evidence at Preston we have to remember at the moment Barber has not been found guilty of anything and is innocent until jury decide.
Yep, with the trial in motion there should be no speculation here.

I just wanted to flag up the case to alert people it was taking place.
