WIRRAL CAR BOOT SALE OPERATORS ADOPT ST JOHNS HOSPICE AS SEASONS CHARITY

Published March 2, 2013.

A football club on Wirral has adopted Wirral Hospice St Johns as its seasonal car boot sales charity.

West Kirby Football Club hold car boots sales at their Greenbank Road ground every Sunday and Wednesday from March through to October and for the last two seasons have supported the Cancer Charity Shop in the area raising in excess of £3000

This season the club’s efforts will be centred around raising as much money as possible for the Hospice at Clatterbridge

A spokesperson for the football club told Mersey Magazine that while the primary aim of the car boot sales was to raise monies to further the community development aspect of the club, it is considered to be an essential part of the operation to help other charities as much as possible

The first car boot sale of the season takes place at the club grounds, tomorrow Sunday, with sellers arriving from 1.30pm and buyers allowed in from 2.30pm

It is strictly a car boot sale with no sellers vans allowed, and no dogs permitted on club grounds

In accordance with Trading Standards rules, no new goods or fake items will be sold and although refreshments will be available on site, no other sale of food or drink is permitted
