Teenage girl threatened and robbed - cops want to talk to man caught on camera
Police have released a cctv image of a man they want to speak to after a teenaged girl was threatened and robbed in Wirral at the beginning of the year.
The incident happened sometime around 8pm on Thursday, January 13, when the 16-year-old girl was walking along Liscard Road near Church Road.
While walking near the entrance to Central Park the girl, who was using her mobile, was approached by a man who threatened her and demanded she hand over her iPhone.
The robber then ran off crossing Liscard Road and along Martins Lane.
Detective Cons Andy Kerr from Birkenhead CID said: "This was a frightening experience for the victim and Merseyside Police will not tolerate incidents of this nature.
"Anyone with any information or who may recognise the man in this image is asked to call us so we can help to bring the offender to justice."
