Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Wallasey on Saturday, March 5 to come forward.

The incident happened after the victim, a 68-year-old local businesswoman, got out of her car on Seaview Road at around 11.40pm and was approached by two men.

The woman was carrying a satchel containing a quantity of cash, which one of the offenders snatched from her, causing her to fall to the ground. The men, who had arrived in what is believed to have been a red Audi car from the direction of New Brighton, left the scene in the car in the same direction. The victim was helped by a group of young people aged around 18 with a football who were passing by at the time.

The offenders have been described as white men, aged in their early to mid-20s wearing black clothing. One of the men is described as 6ft 1in tall. of slim build with a local accent.
