I would just like to say thanks to the people who have sent their condolencies to myself and my family over the loss of our son Oliver on Friday morning.
Ollie was diagnosed with cancer 15 months ago and had undergone an intensive treatment regime with part of it being in America for 10 weeks last summer undergoing Proton Beam Radiotherapy.
His tumour had come back in December and he was diagnosis was terminal with only weeks left to live.
We were glad he saw Christmas and got to ride in a ferrari down New Brighton last week but it was just too much for him.
He passed away on Friday aged 14 whilst in mine and his mother and younger brothers arms at home.
His funeral announcement will be in the Globe this week and his brother is hoping to bring Birkenhead to a standstill.

R.I.P OLLIE X
Thanks again everyone.
There aare no words of condolence that could ever make up for our loss but they go a long way to give us pleasure in the fact that Ollie has touched so many peoples hearts.
I have had letters from America and as far away as Australia from people who have heard of Olivers journey with cancer and each and everyone has said how they cannot believe the strength and determination in Ollies character would put adults to shame.
Ollie never once complained throughout the last 15 months of treatment and has always put others before himself, even at the end.
He gave me the best 14 years of my life and now we will have to support his younger brother and hope that his memory will live on and never be forgotton. I know it will with everyone that has ever met him.
Steve
