Spotted a Street-Scene and a walking Clipboard looking at the junction of Balls Road and Slatey Road (Oxton), I hope they aren't going to muck this junction up, seems to work reasonably well most of the time.

First thought that struck me was replacement with a mini-roundabout, if so, I am going into the tow-truck business.

Mini-roundabouts have a much reduced maintenance cost compare to traffic lights and the council are looking to save money.

They're probably going to put a 10 foot high speed bump in the middle of it, the cnuts.

THEY NEED TO WALK DOWN SLATEY ROAD AND TRY NOT TO FALL DOWN THE CRATERS IN THE X ROAD SURFACE

Once upon a time...about 40 years ago ?
"We wus taut to reed and rite", proper English.

But, I think, I get your drift...?

Scunt's ...(is that a rude word ? )appear to be in charge of the the rest of us .

DO NOT FORGET,

....we also pay, through PAYE, VAT, MOTOR TAX, COUNCIL RATES, TV LICENCE... etc,etc,etc...infinitum.. their wages and PENSIONS..which are inflation proofed !

We are looking through iron bars/Asylum.

Inmates are now outside,( you and me, as TAX PAYERS !)

against the "Freebies " who are too numerous to mention..your local Member of Parliament might be amongst many ?

Come in..smell the discontent !

There were two people - a guy with a hi-vis Street Scene jacket and another bloke in a suite with a clipboard hence ....

A Street-Scene and a WALKING Clipboard.

Sorry, I thought it irrelevant as to the detail so attempted a silly quip.

i thought your description was funny as well as apt!!! 'walking clipboard' especially. i hate 'clipboards' especially those who appear at the front door- they usually want money!!!!!

well perhaps if we didn't have so much ... trying to skrew the council tax payer for claims for non exsistent falls,we wouldn't have to rely on streetscene inspectors to carryout periodic inspections of the highway, and the fact that wirral has one of the Highest percentage for claim defence wins in the country perhaps shows that in fact the "streetscene" inspector is doing his job, as well as recieving well below inflation rises for at least a decade,And maybe when central government consistenly lowers the budget from year to year, and council tax rises lower than inflation their job gets a little or maybe you are all talking krap

I'm surprised there's not more accidents at those traffic lights, or perhaps there are plenty and i just don't know about them. As a regular user of those lights, it never ceases to amaze me how little knowledge drivers have when it comes to what is the correct lane to be in. If the authorities ever want to make a few bob, they only need to set themselves up there for a few hours and dish out tickets for dangerous driving, they would make a fortune.
