Joanne Laugharne, 41 and her 8-year-old son Jamie Laugharne have been missing from their home in Harrops Croft, Netherton since Monday, 22nd June.

It was thought Joanne took the youngster out of school under the pretence of going away on holiday but members of her family do not believe this to be the case.

Joanne is described as white, 5ft tall, of slim build with short, straight blonde / light brown hair. She has blue eyes and a fair complexion.

It is thought Jamie and his mum could be in the Southport area and police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the pair.

Superintendent Mike Martin from Sefton Command Team said: "I would urge Joanne or anyone who has seen her or Jamie since 22nd June, to contact us.

"All information no matter how small will be treated seriously."

Anyone with information can call 0151 777 3083 or the National Missing Persons Helpline in confidence on 0500 700 700. "
