There are 4 fire engines and a tracktor down bidston hill tunnel entrance does any 1 know what has or is happing i have no camera till later can any 1 with a camera get pictures please ?

does any 1 have any news ??

Sounds as if the Fire Brigade are doing a sweep before they try sealing the entrance again.

i didnt even know thats where the tunnels entrance was. i drive past that every day. also the AA station by bidston train station. you learn something new every day.

Just been down there pix up later

Here goes the fire engines were there doing a check to make sure there was no body in there as they are doing a major SEAL up again

yep i now can confirm that the tunnel are sealed properly with 4 tons on gravel and cement frown

Aghh well we all had the chance, may i say a personal thank you to the people who made it possible in the first place.

Wot i wanna know is?- would the firemen have entered the tunnels the usual way, so to speak?
Or would 'they' have split open the entrance + strutted in easily?? Safe in the knowledge that they can use their 'equipment 'to make the entry easier for themselves, knowing that upon exit no man nor beast is gettin' in??

Only the man driving the digger could answer that. You could ask cambrian way construction for the drivers phone number.

Seriously though i do know a man in that company and i will ask him when he calls into work.

They are doing the work on the roundabout at Thurstaston Hill

It is good to see them blocked up after going down there a few time it was just getting worse and worse down there due to kids smashing them up gutted about it

I still think we should look at buying them 1 day for tours and a massive lazer quest smile
