Not only is it a good thing getting thier world wide famous name back it also spells good news for the employment side of it.More work means more men.As we know Lairds was (in it`s prime) Wirral`s biggest employer. It would be great to see it take that title back and heritage wise carry on the trade under it`s original name as it has done for 150 yrs.

WELL DONE LAIRDS.

I was watching some business thing on TV today (what do you do when you're redundant!), and they say the north will actually benefit from this as they're so used to hardships and laying offs (no pun intended)! The steel industry, car industry, and industry in general. In the south they have the money and the banks.

Seen this before, was on the frontpage of the Beeb for a while. The Cammell Lairds name is already owned and used by the Shipping Company of Gibralter iirc, so they must be licensing it?
