It's been approved mate.

Has even been in the Globe/Local area news.

Bet it will be good seeing as it's peel holdings doing it

If this turns out like the planning request sounds it's going to be great, I hope that this is the start of something brilliant for the whole of Birkenhead!

Hasnt part of the plan been refused something to do with the eco village they were planning to compliment the project.Think it was in the Globe i read this .

Not refued planning permission as such - there was a plan to build a eco-town style development on the site of the former "River streets" nearby but this plan didn't make the final government shortlist for grants to help with the eco-towns. It may slow the development down but I take the recent reconfirmation of the application for the Hydraulic tower as a good sign that Peel is still committed to the whole-sale redevelopment of this area.
