I thought this story was quite funny cause the tube sucks!!

Quote

A former London Underground announcer sacked after she wrote an online blog criticising the Tube has become the new voice of a SatNav system.
Voiceover artist Emma Clarke, 36, is the woman millions of Tube travellers hear warning them to "mind the gap".

The mother-of-two from Altrincham, Greater Manchester, upset LU bosses by allegedly saying she did not use the Tube because it was "dreadful".

She has now become the voice of a SatNav system for mobile phones.

"The thought of getting more mileage out of my voice by hopping from one mode of transport to another seemed rather fitting", she said.

She had worked for LU since 1999 but was sacked following a series of recordings on her website.

In one announcement she says: "We would like to remind our American tourist friends that you are almost certainly talking too loudly."

Funny MP3 she made

In my honest opinon some people dont like home truths and she got the sack obviously for being truthful i think its alright to voice opinons what ever happened to Free Speech ?
