IF you are planning to take part in this year's Tesco Race For Life and raise funds for cancer research make sure you sign up soon.

So far 1,335 people have signed up for the two races held in Birkenhead Park on Sunday June 3, leaving just over 5000 places to fill.

But with the Chester race now full to capacity its organiser Katherine Culshaw is confident places on the Wirral event will soon disappear.

I'd like to take part, but its for women only which I think is a bit daft.

I mean, you probably can still donate and raise money, but the way I think is that if you take part, you might feel as if you have actually done something yourself to help, like donated not only money, but a part of your time and energy.
