Hi there I have noticed tonight when i went to the shops that my headlighs keep diming and its really annoying me because the lights inside the car i.e dash lights and the light on my stereo also go dim also its like a flashing dimness if you know what i mean?
When i put my foot on the pedal to move the car it gets slightly worse.

has anyone got any ideas <img border="0" alt="[Idea]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions079.gif" />

if your headlamps are dimming this means the alternator is not charging correctly or a bad/faulty connection.

will that also be the cause of the interior lights to do the same as well <img border="0" alt="[Idea]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions079.gif" />

Erm, I would hazard a guess at the alternator needing replacing if the alternator is not charging, not the battery smack

Yes it would cause all the lights to dimm, just like a torch when the battery is getting low, the torch dimm's.

The red battery light is NOT a battery warning light think

AS said it'll be the alternator. However, my black one has a new alternator, and it does this ... the earthing cable from the battery to the body is totally perished. Check your earthings cables as well.

Be careful you don't knacker the battery by charging too much. The cells get covered in fur when the current keeps going u and down, and the charge lasts a couple of minutes. (voice of experience there).
