New cars first MOT under my ownership was done today...........And it failed or

Av never had car long enough to see it though a MOT

And Now i got to wait 3 years before i need to

the first one mines gone through with me it failed on about seven things, but it was all stupid things like wiper blades, illegal back lights and other things, think it cost about £30 to get all the work done

Hey shrek passed with green ones. They were just bein pedantic, i have the white ones in the glovebox at all times so if the shades give me hassle i can swap em at the roadside

dunno but dont think it will pass, im sure the current mot is dodgy

Spare tyre does not come into the MOT test unless it is under the car and the carrier or wheel/tyre are insecure. Your spare can be flat, bald whatever, it really dosnt matter.

i had to take the sunstrip off my car and get my brakes fixed too, its passed now tho and ive got a new sunstrip too.

why, what was wrong with the sunstrip?

Sunstrips are Illegal if they come into the wiper area

They are illegal full stop under the same laws about tinted windows but MOT Stations do not have the light meters to asses correctly therefore exempt from the MOT test but a police officer can prosicute you for having one fitted even if it does not come into the Wiper Zone.

Aggy is a deffo yes as his is bloody huuuuuge.And the writing on the bottom of the windscreen is a big nono.Im surprised the shades aint had them removed yet

1 multi coloured side lights
2 nearside front bottom ball joint
3 drivers side drive shaft boot spilt
4 sunstrip
5 exhaust major leak

it was all done on saturday booked it back in 4 tues i thought it would fail on more things

Aggy's safe cos his car got done the day after his MOT

so he's got just under a year till he needs to take it off

My AX passed its MOT with its sunstrip on, that went well into the wiperblade area

i had my MOT today and it passed! yay! didnt need a thing doing to it. good job aswell coz i wouldnt ov been able to afford it

alrite for some, I had to fork out nearly £600 to get mine to pass a few months ago thats why I still can't afford any mods atm.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know anyone personally (as in a good mate) who carries out MOT's and issues certificates?

had mine last month (white 3 doors second MOT in my ownership) and it failed on

Nearside wishbone dead bush (it was only replaced in 2005 and its not lowered)
LH Full beam no work (fuse)
2 holes in rear chassis rails (1 each side)

All in all cost 100 quid to get it on the road

It's a ford mate, you probably sneezed too hard on the dashboard

The vit passed it's MOT a couple of weeks back, with the tinted front sides and the sunstrip that comes well into the wiped area. Same garage paul_ax got his MOT done Just had an advise for corrosion on the brake lines and that was it
