The otherday my car thought it would be good to go overthe red and try and cook itself managed to get my car home with alot of smoke and a hole lot of noise and heat think it was down to a air lock in the rad but i carnt get rid. I have checked the water pump doesnt seem to be leaking but on the rightside of my rad and the back bottom waterhose in the bay are all cold. There must be a leak cos my coolant light is coming on all the time and i have to keep topping up. This may explain why my carpet in the footwells are wet. But no matter what i do i carnt get the airlock out help please. help I have checked the engine over and had no noise or smoke since the other sat. Stupid car made me miss the 1st half and the 1st 2 England goals German cars and england fans dont mix had a puncture lastime England played and missed most of the Whales game not driving it today LOL.

Is the Headgasket ok matey frown

The damn fan belt snapped on mine when I had it, and this also turns the water pump. Only went in to the red for a few secs before I shut it off, and it did the gasket frown

Still, I think your prolly ok, mine ran like a bag of poo afterwards and misfired badly, but if yours is running OK now happy

Try leaving the water cap off, heaters on full, and check for any bubbles coming out of the header tank to get rid of the air lock smile

Ok try that when it stops rainin. The gaskets fine remembered what you told me about all the lights in the dash coming on (snapped the fanbelt on the trackday i did the other week) but it runs fine. Keep breaking engine mounts dont know why though. think

If you've got wet carpet's it's down 2 your heater matrix , If water leakes out air will get in ?.Try to by pass it then bleed it .
