Liquid Urethane and Motor mounts - 27th Jun 2006 6:29pm
hey folks..
Anyone had any experience in doing this?
I am looking at either buying some uprated nismo engine mounts or I can use Liquid Urethane and make them go from this
To this
the benefits would be
- Increase Horsepower to the Ground
- Reduced Wheel Hop
- More Responsive Motor
The first and foremost reason for firming up your motor mounts is to hold the engine more firmly in place. Often the more pliable stock motor mounts will allow the engine to move too much - resulting in wheel hop and a loss of power. The more extreme version of this is when a an owner has increase the vehicle's horsepower more than the stock motor mounts were meant to handle. This can cause tearing the stock motor mounts as well as damage to the engine and engine bay should the engine be allowed too much movement.
