Sounds about right happy

May need a little reworking of the brake lines too, but I dont think its that bigger job smile

ok cool, so how exactly do i go about "whipping off a rear end from one on a crappy and gettin it on mine"?! Lol! du think i'd be able to do it myself with the help of a trusty haynes manual? is it just a case of like taking off the break drums and screwing the discs on sorta?

Dont think so, not to familiar with Focus'

Done one on a Cav about a year ago, and that was just drop one rear beam and replace with the disk beam, however....

I belive the Focus has independant rear suspension. Im not sure if this means you can just swap the hubs, or you'll need more than that, ie the rear suspension bottom arm assembly for both sides confused

the 2.0 focus has rear brake discs. Dunno if itd be easier to fit them to your existing beam or replace the whole thing. But there's your answer!

I am looking for a rear brake conversion for my Escort, but all ive been able to find is kits that cost in excess of about £300-£400 just to buy the parts.... frown

Would focus ST front discs fit an escort easy enough on 16" wheels?

Only rear beam u can buy Basskid is the RS2000 and try getting one cheaper than £150!

Try e-bay!
You'll need to add two 'parking' brake cables, but apart from that, I think you just take the drum hub off and bolt the disc hub back on. Vauxhalls have beams, which are a pain to do, but Focus' have independent.

Anyone know how easy it would be to do it to a 98 Civic Coupe?

Probably go round a couple of scrappy's and check out some Accords. They'll let you borrow a turret to compare with your car. wink
