People say these cars can't be modified. My mate Karl who owns a Lotus Esprit GT3 has gone to town on his. I've lost track on the list of mods but here goes:
NOS +100BHP extra plus purge kits in ariel and bonnet vents
19" bespoke alloys
DVD player
Playstation
one off bodykit
Wheel arch extensions
one rear spoiler
glass bonnet window to show off NOS bottle
lowered suspension
door handles removed
front and side indicators removed
ice blue paint with pearlesant laquer
2002 rear light conversion
Ferarri style rear valance
F1 style carbon fibre wing mirrors
the usual K&N etc etc

He been approached by a few magazines. I think he's gone with a 4 pager on Redline. I think he's in this xmas edition. Also he's had it on Max power stand when it was pretty much standard. He's already down for next year's stand.

Thats a well nice car. whats its BHP now...
This Esprit is a 2.0 GT3 standard is 240BHP. With the NOS and other mods, I reckon 350BHP.
My S4s comes as standard 300BHP. Iam hoping to get a chip soon that will take it upto 330BHP and that's without NOS.
Big downside is that the gearboxes are only good for 350BHP and even then second gear goes. This is why the 3.5L V8 twin turbo has only 350BHP. It had to be detuned so not to rip the gearbox apart. Easily get 450BHP on a standard engine with the V8.

thats gorgeous! the back bumper looks kinda ferrari-ish to smile smile
The sad thing is that he hasn't done a great deal to the engine. Standard is 240BHP, a chip would take it upto 280-290BHP depending which one. He's just opted for NOS which IMO is not a good move without doing anything else. He hasn't even got a dump valve or turbo timer. Chargecooler which is a water cooled version of an intercooler is standard. No K&N or induction kit. No engine work as far as I know.
He has got a huge 4 pipe through exhaust without any back box though which is giving hime about another 10-15 brake. Add this to the NOS takes hime upto 340-350BHP. I keep telling him to install a progressive controller on his NOS to save his engine and gearbox but he doesn't listen. He's already blown a brand new turbo.

Hi, :go:
Hi sally, the modded car isn't from the Wirral. He lives in Derby way. He's on the Midlands cruise site a lot.
