I was going down erm, that dissused runway tonight at 110mph, when I saw a couple of headlights appear behind me in the distance. Within about 5 secs they had passed me and were off into the distance eek Amidst the blur as they went past I made out the shape of a bmw mini, and heard whoosh of a dump valve...

They had a turbo,
They were travelling at least 150mph,
They had just changed up a gear.

eek eek eek eek eek

I'm speechless <img border="0" alt="[I surrender]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions075.gif" />

Hats off to whoever that was.

They're supercharged. It would have been the Cooper S, did it look 'altered' at all?
I got the Eaton supercharger from a Cooper, there's a supply of bigger blowers, and most upgrade, so now there's a load of cooper blowers lying around in most BMW garages.

Was this disused runway the, ahem, M53??!
Get yourself to the A55, 30 miles of uninterupted road, twisting around the welsh mountains, very nice.

Drive the A55 most weekends mate, nice road. It was a different disused runway, y'know *by* the M56. I definately heard a dump valve, this was no ordinary mini. Couldn't see any mods in the blur as it went past, it had a loud exhaust though.
