My second car, (the first car I bought), was a 1985 Fiesta 1000cc. Bit of a dog, but the insurance was pretty good and it made me alot of money while I had it, (I DJ so I had alot of **** to lug), bought it for £120, sold it for £120. Looking back I would of got a slightly bigger engine 1.1 or somthing.
If you've got the cash get a Micra, (bubble shaped one), they're really good on the insurance, and quite nippy, (1.3s are quite quickish), and all engine configurations are supposed to be really strong. I know there's not much modding potential, but you can make them look pretty good, there's a black one going 'round upton way, with pimp tints, some nice wheels, and angry looking headlights that looks pretty sweet!

Go cheap, go french.
You can pick up a 106, AX or saxo for dirt cheap. The are quick, easy to maintain and fun to drive.

ive just got my first car a 1.1 106. not bad for a first car quite a bit of moddin potential but now i want something faster! wen u have chose your car get a quote from liverpool victoria there the best around. mines insured fully comp for £1500 me mates KA for £1300 and me mates clio for £1600. so quite 'cheap' insurance really (if u can call it that). if i were u i'd get a ford KA new style duratecs got 75 bhp and only ins group 2! the older engines got 60 bhp. wot ever u do dont get a nova please. <img border="0" alt="[cwhelp]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions041.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cwrumad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cwnuts]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions051.gif" />

Oi <img border="0" alt="[cwrumad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" /> ive got a ka and i aint a girl! i know it aint the fastest car money can buy, but its reliable, good lookin, cheapish to insure, its great round corners and for country lane blasting <img border="0" alt="[cwsmokin]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions036.gif" />
ive seen some that have had their standard 1.3's swapped for: 1.7 puma's, 1.6 turbo CVH's and the maddest so far a turbo'd 2litre zetec.
not so gurly now eh?

it's still a girly car it just got a huge engine in it!!!!!!

na, mines a green one. its looks pretty standard apart from my tints, so it doesnt stand out that much..........but it will soon enough, hehehe
