After having my kit on for about 3 months now, i have had to higher the car, get bigger wheels etc....

I thought I was able to conqour all speed bumps at a very slow speed...

Until Today...

I was driving my girlfriend o University in Liverpool, when we got to the car park of her Uni I was approched by speed bumps, which i have never failed to get over..

Ther were no spaces apart from in the Disabled bay, anyway after turning round and goin back over all the speed bumps, i failed at the second to last speed bump!!!

TW*T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bumper hangin off again!!!!!

So are speed bumps right or wrong??????????

I understand the point in them, but nobody slows for them, unless in a lowered vehicle, and in the past three months i have been overtook by more cars whilst going over speed bumps than on the road..

So I`ll put the question to all you out there...

Are speed bumps right or wrong??????????

ok maybe there is a place that acctually "needs" speed bumps, but thier should be a like a maximum height 4 them so that we can get our cars over them without damage.

Keep em if it means i can over take yu !! lol

Seriously, ive read somewhere that there is a big kick up about speed bumps and the emergency services.

So councils are bening asked to review there policys for approving them.

There are far to many and they wont slow a speeding nutter.

In the road were my mate lives there are a total of 10 speed bumps from one end to the other.
And he was told that each speed bump costs between £5,000 - £10,000.. £100,000 for one street !!!

I think they are a good idea when placed in Hot Spots...

it doesnt seem to make sense to have speed bumps in a car park anyway. most people drive slowly when looking for somewhere to park dont they? or is that just me?

Thats the whole reason why i wont lower my car, couldnt be doing with the hassle of "Will my car make it over them or up that kerb" ??

Not that it needs lowering anyway's but when you lower your car it generally comes with a price to pay eek

Back to the issue though, There should be strict guidelines to the maximum height and they should all be the same also

i've been quite lucky, til this week. myn is stupidly low but i manage to get down a few roads i need to and it just makes it. i was pulling out of the peccy station earlier this week, same way as i always do, but the rear bumper caught the floor. my heart missed a beat when i heard that noise! gotta fix it tomorrow!! luckily the exhausts are holdin it on.

i think that there should but laws on height for speed bumps and i alsoi thing that speed bumps should be enforced around residential areas and we really need them in our street as people hammer it up and down or street

So Yes there should be speed bumps and there should be a legal height restriction as well
