Jaguar has come out on top in the 2006 Quality Report from German motoring
magazine Auto Zeitung.

More than 30,000 readers took part in the survey where they rated 33 brands
overall for reliability, product quality and service. The same magazine
voted Jaguar in 18th place in 2004 and 5th last year.

Managing Director of Jaguar Cars Bibiana Boerio commented:
"We are delighted with the results of this survey particularly as
the votes came from members of the German public. Getting the top spot
reinforces what we already know about the high standards of quality
found in our cars from the prestigious J.D. Power survey conducted
in the US. In 2005, Jaguar was second for quality meaning it was
the highest ranked European nameplate, while our Halewood plant where the
X-TYPE is built won the Gold Plant Quality Award in Europe."

Heinrich Lingner from Auto Zeitung said:
"It comes as a big surprise that a European brand has beaten the
Japanese who have come first for several years running. Our readers voted
just four European brands into the top ten, the other three were Porsche,
Volvo and BMW."

Just for Rhys smile

VOLVO???

Well that pretty much confirms its rigged and not a neutral survey.

I am not being funny or anything, but Volvo have to be the most questionable manufacturer in recent times, how many dangerous (and life threatening) faults have they released their cars with and then refused to support customers when they have realised there is problems?

Engines blowing up, catching fire for no reason, dropping to 30mph max speeds when driving on the motorways etch...

And that was just the 2006 series of Watchdog!!!

Reminds me why I never take any notice of these things

Funniest one was the 2003 ISP awards, where Freeserve scooped two awards .... and guess who it was sponsored by wink
