I am test driving this bad boy next Saturday.
Sat in it today, had a good look over it, very nice car, very futuristic and very well built. More than a match for Astra, Focus and Golf IMO. Shame they aint releasing the coupe over here as the back end of this hatchj version is very odd, and might take a bit of getting used to.
Fingers crossed Honda decide to release the coupe.
Wow! I never thort that'd come out for ages. Oh well i think thats gorgeous. Mega futuristic. I have to see one in the flesh
The coupe is gorgeous, so hope they release it over here. There's bits i like and don't like about the hatch, I wouldn't have one as the overall shape reminds me of a fiat brava, but I'm sure it could be made to look really sweet.
That version had all gadgets inside, including a engine start button, sat nav, cruise control, and arse wiping machine, it really was the best interior i have ever seen in a car. Honda have finially taken the time and really looked at the interior of their cars.
The whole roof was glass, but i wouldn't of realised if he didnt say, it is very practicle, the boot is huge.
It comes in a sport version, which although it has a couple of less gadgets, it does come with 17 or 18 inch wheels. The guy said it has similar handling to the old type r, although they aint releasing a new type r till some time 2007.
Prices start at 12k and go up to 18k, the version i am test driving is a 1.8i VTEC 140 BHP, the performance of a 2.0l with the economy of a 1.2.
err for the people who don t know much about honda s you might like to quote what model it is
Honda Civic 2006 model.
Revamped to be in the same category as the Golf, Focus, Astra, Skoda etc.
Went to see the new Astra SRI and 2.0l turbo, lovely looking cars and very fast, but didnt seem as practical, well built or potentially as nice as the civic.
Reviews have been quite good for the civic so far, with many mags quoting "its back to the drawing board for the Astra and Focus" but could its design be it's downfall?
My god that's ugly!! It's definately futuristic looking though. In a 1960's kind of way.
Took it for a spin today, one of the better cars i have driven. It benefits from the 6gears, as the pick up is alot better than my torqueless car
i d have my ek4 any day, but id love an ek9, ezi
whats "ezi" when its at home.does it mean easy,or slang for escort?
That car looks nice but that matt black guard goin all round the car looks rank!. Get some decent arches and skirts on there
Here is the review for the new civic.
Much better car, imo than the new focus, more room in the rear, more luggage room and unmatchable reliability. Looks as though, despite its looks, it could be a very popular car.

I think the 5 door hatch looks very
....almost Megane like, with the bulbus arse!
The Coupe though -
Im still not changing my sig though, unless they have managed to pull some torque from somewhere
It had alot more torque than my car, seemed to be more torquey than my mates Astra SXI, but didnt really get chance to really "test" it as there was a Honda employee in the car with me
so, he wants you to rag it
it luks mingin! looks french!!!!!
saw the review on 5th gear of it an he loved it, he was sayin about the honda badge bein set behind perspects to prevent injury if u hit sum1, whats all that about!
i hate the way all the new cars are goin buble like, they luk like they shud hover not hav wheels
raaaaaa

Its the opposite to a Merc - they fit cross hairs on the end of the bonnet to
help you hit someone
