Do you agree with speed camera's?

Are Speed Camera's there for making money or are they there for saftey?

This poll will run for 2 weeks.

They're there for making money. Why else have fines?

Those specs cameras that I had a rant about on the other thread, why bother having them on the motorway? I've thought about it...why don't they have them outside schools? So people have to keep below an average of 30mph? Make them *real* visable, put signs up "School speed cameras ahead". While they're at it...they could put a CCTV unit there, and nick any of the parents, double parking...pulling out without looking...reversing when on their mobile phone...too busy shouting at their kids to look at the road ahead...parking on corners...allowing their kids to get in and out on the road side of the car whith out checking the road is clear...

I've seen all this happen, I agree, outside schools people should go less than 30, maybe even 20 during school hours, not because the kids don't know how to cross the road per-se, but because most of the parents are lazy idiots.

****, I don't know what happens to people when they get to a certain age and have kids, they seem to lose their minds about 4 o-clock. I know anyone who genuinly loves cars dosn't fall into that bracket, because they normally respect their cars, and know the stress of driving past a school emptying out. Have you ever been past birkenhead school at 4 o'clock? Hundreds of huge jeeps, with little women in them, double parked most of them musn't have legs because they can't park a couple of roads away and walk to pick up little Lord Faltory up, oh no, one must park outside the school! Before anyone has a go about me talking about the parents at Birkenhead school... I know what most of them are like, I used to go there, a long long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

So that's what we need!

Specs cameras off the motorway...and outside schools.
Parents to be shouted at for their "illegal cruise meets" outside friggin schools by the local plod, instead of having a go at a couple of lads in a empty carpark keeping themselves to themselves.

If a politcal party took my common-sense-advice, they'd get in parlement next term. What do I get for it? Nothing!

Yeah it's sneaky, I bet they worked out they can catch *more* people by turning the single sided ones around because they're not paying attention.

i think the poll is a bit narrow minded some are there for safety you can't argue with that but most are there for money!! what is the point in the speed camera by the rock its at the very end of the road anyway its for people coming out of the tunel who don't know the area - easy money
