Ive seen these motors fetch up to and over £600 eek

Very good engine for allsorts of conversions - 2.0 Corsas, Novas, Mk 1 and 2 Escorts, Mantas and many others.

I think the £250 reserve is very conservative frown

Stuey is right, i bought a mint 16v astra gte mk2 a while back for £200 and sold the engine alone for £600, they hold the money well, be prepared to pay alot more than the reserve.

They didn't put Coscast engines in 93 onward cars. It'll be stamped on the block if it is. wink

You could always buy one of these, and then sell the bits off making your money back:

Cavalier GSi

Cavalier GSi

Astra GTE

I can help you out putting it in if you get it, save paying out. It'll only take a day or two.

laugh

Cars that already have the engine in go for about 2 - 3 grand though!
I've done engines before, I even 'helped' my dad do one when I was about 8. laugh If you need any help, I'd be willing to help you out.
