Man i am sick and tired of people who go around putting down other peoples cars when they either dont have anything better OR they are much older and can afford more!!!

I've got one lad tellin me his 1.4 corsa 8v N Reg with 90k on the clock is faster than my 129bhp escort Si R reg with 57k on the clock....

Then some 30 year old guy with an evo, who according to the lad with the corsa wants a race with me....

Does that sound a little unfair to anyone!! lol..

But i just dont like the way these people put down other peoples cars....i know faster cars than a totally standard evo 8, im sure theres atleast one at cruise wirral. Im pretty confident scoobys car would thrash a standard evo to be honest with you....but i dont know much about either car....

anyway yeah, these people arent into cars for the love of them, they are just out to take the **** out of people....i think these are the kind of people you have the approval system for the meets for? Just trouble makers with nothing better to do....

Anyway the guy with the evo 8 is 32 and how does he expect me to have a car that can stand up to it! i think with a 130bhp which i aim to get 160-180 out of is good for an 18 year old....plus only 0.3 seconds slower 0-60 as standard than a standard Fiesta Xr2i...and they ARE fast!!

Sorry for the rant lol, but they have just been gettin right on my nerves tonight!

Forgot to say that i am not the kind of person to go bragging and saying "haha my car is faster than yours!!!" and i dont like getting into arguments with people over it....takes the fun out of cars if you turn it into a big argument....

I never said anything to this lad with the corsa about his car being slower or anything, he just said one day "my car is quicker than yours is, thats because its an 8 valve..."

He also reckons he wud have me in the first 2 gears and i would start to pull away till 3rd...

a 1.4 n reg 8v we are talking about 59bhp or 75bhp standard....its the boggo corsa which i dont hold against it but they werent the 90bhp ones i dont think...?

He may have a weight advantage on you, so he may beat you up to about 30/40. Where it really matters, you will start pulling away.

You should get him on a 1/4 mile at one of the up and coming events. Nothing like a bit of banter just before settling things. Just tell the guy with the corsa that an Granny AX 1.4 GT will kick 2 tonnes of s**t out of his corsa.

Thing is though i have been in his car and it can not stand up to mine, hes had a 10mph rolling start before and i still caught up to him just at the end of 1st gear (approx 40mph), he he still thinks he won because he rolled past me at the start for a half a second lol.....

I dont think his car responds aswell as mine either, ive eliminated flat spots, and greatly improved throttle response, plus with my new clutch she pulls off pretty damn well

Plus i can take my car to its maximum power better than he can lol....

If my car was totally standard i would agree with the weight giving him the small advantage off the mark. But ive beat 1.8 corsasoff the line at lights before, and also been beat by some too lol.

A lot of people these days (such as him) like to say their car is fast because it does 0-60 in a certain time.....but who REALLY measures the performance of their car by the 1st TWO gears lol...

Its good when people who do have cars that will beat you off the mark but wont keep up out of 2nd gear get past you at the start but then you dont stop and just ovetake them, then they feel dumb lol....

Oh and on the AX 1.4 GT.....it would kick 2 tonnes of s**t out of a LOT of cars hehe bloody fast!

I can see what ur sayin matey, moddin is all to personal preference and only constructive criticism should be put accross!! This is not called race wirral and anybody that goes around talkin sayin they have a mega fast car ovbiously doesnt, if ur car is fast u accept that and have fun knowing it no1 else needs to be told!

Yeah im not bothered about how fast my car is. I bought a 1.8 escort because i wanted that little extra pull on the motorways mostly, im doing mods to increase the power because you will always want that little bit more after you have had the car a while.

By all means people with fast cars should be proud of them and they can talk about it how they want, just dont like it when it gets into an argument like "my car is welll faster than yours"....like when kids says "my dad can beat ur dad up" lol
