Asking on behalf of a friend whose car is suffering from excessive wear on the inside shoulder of the front off side tyre.
Is this something that can be resolved by tracking or is there another possible solution? Also can a reasonable recommended repairer be suggested.

sounds like the tracking is out. Try manleys on Claughton road Birkenhead opposite the asda or bathers on the a41.

Tracking would be first shout but could also be worn steering or suspension components (wishbone bushes,track rod ends or ball joints.

The tracking repair is only as good as the next pot hole you hit, or kerb you scuff as you park.

So get a good price, some place incuced extra checks..

A good rule of thumb would be if you know you have given the wheel a good hit, pot hole or kerb, thats the time to get the tracking checked.
