Well i am holding the funeral a week on friday peeps

For those who dont know, my impreza died at Santa Pod recently just moments afret completing a 13.2 Sec run.

I have lost the compression on 2 cylinders so i removed the nearside cylinder head and got it skimmed as there were signs of the head gasket leaking, I built the head back up today and i still have no compression <img border="0" alt="[are u mad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" />







So, there was only one thing for it...... Got on the fone and ordered a new engine from Subaru, its getting fitted next week <img border="0" alt="[smokin]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions036.gif" />

Should be back on the road next weekend or so....

What size engine is going in ?

You have some major cruisin round a low revs times ahead then running it in, just think though it shud be a lot better being spanking new and all!! hope the transplant goes well dude!!!

Any idea what the cause of the blow up was, and what happened? Holed piston?

Looks like a damaged piston at the moment, however due to the location of the pistons it is very difficult to see them even using mirrors...

Its not a holed piston, that was the last engine's problem.... <img border="0" alt="[are u mad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" />

Once the engine is removed i will have a better idea and keep ya posted peeps......
