im hopefully gettin a yellow gti on saturday and the lad wants to keep the plate on it but itmay not be changed over by then,
ive been told this is how to do it?

he signs V5 gives to me i take car away and he sends of retention form etc

then he gets new plate number and tax disc which he then sends to me

then i send off V5 with new reg number and recieve new v5 back with non personal plate number on

then i send to him the old tax disc and old plates?

this right?

urr in 4 a ******* m8. new v5 n tax disc have 2 b issued. his number has 2 go on to retention, £80 charge 4 tat. not as easy as it cud b. if hes started process and he goes to his local office 2 sort it it shud b ok.

If he goes to his Local DVLA Office he can do it there and then for the relevant fee (£80 i think)

I would insist on him doing this proir to the sale of the vehicle......

me and stuy mac went and did his plate change in a day, well an hour, but it was a hot day in chester and ladies were out in force so it was a day trip
