yea i love mine what happened was i was looking for a pulsar gti-r,evo 3 or an early scooby sti being 21 insurance wasnt much more than a zs 180 i was after a car up to about the £4500-5000 mark cash so a new evo/scooby was out of the question as im not getting into 10k debt,

anyways a yellow one turned up at a local garage i fell in love, but it had a sold sign i kept going back every night to look(saddo) even though there was no point after that i was adament thats what i wanted, the plus's of the zs over the jap car far nicer interior and more modern looking,
slightly cheaper on petrol and about 4-500 cheaper on insurance ok it doesnt have the power or the straightline speed of the faster jap machines but

put one of these round a track with all the higher end cars and boy people are so suprised at how the 0-60 5.5 seconds on an impreza to the 7.3 seconds of a standard zs makes no difference round a track as they handle amazing for a fwd car, and are so predictable when you push it past the mark its obvious what the cars going to do
the zs websites even group up with the evo and impreza sites on trackdays they all get together.

i plan on going jap but ill give it till im 25 now and can afford a newer evo or impreza as i couldnt put up with the cloth interior now.

and most of all what i like about the car is its brittish its nice to drive a little piece of history, personal opinion is these are so looked down upon because of them being based on a rover the kv6 engine has different internals to the rover plus all the suspension was all redesigned etc etc.....and these are up there with the 106 gtis and integra type rs on the handling front apart from the teggys have a nice lsd to keep that power down.

cheers for the comments guys.

Precisely...people look down on them, thinking theyre just a rover in Disguise. Only thing they really share is the chassis.

Major respect to you for sticking with British, and obviously one of my fave cars ever.....

Cant wait to get a bit of money behind me, so i can go get one myself hahahaha

another reason i liked it is cause when i had it a month ago there wernt hardly any about when i was at meets now there getting a bit commen so its time to start making mine stand out.

if you fancy one the storys of not being able to get bits are a myth i found it easyer to locate bits exteriorwise and standard panels than it was for my vauxhalls and thats no lie it took me a week to locate a garage namely rsm(who do all the performance bits and panels etc) to get hold of a dentless boot and a door and it was cheaper than getting dent master lol, in the same colour i only changed them cause im a perfectionist the 1p dinks were annoying me.
