Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 2nd Aug 2004 12:21pm
Right this weekend ive gone west on the ibiza!!
Spent way too much money but i think it will be worth it!!

I popped down to Autosafe on saturday and had a RAGE 4" tuneable backbox fitted which looks the dogs and sounds sweet.

I then went to go and buy some blue headlamps for £6,,

HOWEVER, i got looking at some I.C.E. and saw the Fusion sub and amp package which is a quality package, The powers that be (my tight **** brain) could not even resist this great deal, so with sum very good helpers i have got 65% of my boot install complete..

To complement it ive chucked a neon on the back of the rear seats to give a subtle blue glow on the sub and amp.

JOBS A GUDDEN!

well whilst at USC i think the heat must of got to me cos i spent money which i dont have buying a 7 colour tachometer and carbon fibre pod totalling £50

its yet to be wired up as its proving to puzzle sum people as my car doesnt use a coil system, it uses an electric start like most modern cars, however the instructions state to connect it to coil.

Theres my problem but hopefully that will be overcome by sum nifty help and shud be measuring those revs by the end of the week! laugh

i now have 2 12" subs in enclosed box, being run by a 1200w Pro Plus amp and as before 6X9's running of my legacy 500w amp.

the bass is much more sharper and bassier now!

will post pics if i can but i want to tidy it up a bit first.

i now now longer have a legacy 500w amp in my install now, i have changed for a brand new 500w 4 channel sony Xplod amp (Thanx to GTI180), sound quality is much better..and looks trick with the nice pro plus amp.

whilst playing around with my installl i went to the trouble of turning the subs around in the the box to find they have a very nice chrome finish to them and look very swish indeed, and now ive done that my bass levels inside the car have increased by over a half.

will try n get some pics up soon as these subs really do look trick.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 1st Mar 2005 6:12pm
on my travels to a scrappy with mr sanchez i have obtained a very nice dial unit with rev counter and speedo, the backing to these dials are silver and go very will with the other interior bits i have sprayed silver, plugged in straight away and rev counter working, however having problems with the oil light alert as it is making a loud beeping at me..lol

i also managed to pick up a blue engine coolant screw cap which looks much better, and a few other bits and bobs, will get pics of dials soon.

the body kit i oreder now has changed slightly, the side skirts i was not happy with therfore have changed them for combat2 furios side skirts which look propper phat, i have just seen the car with them fitted and look very nice indeed....

all rust treatment has been done and smooth boot is prepped and ready for fitting.

the badless grill i obtained would not fit therefore my originall grill has been modified to be badgless happy

also a new oval peco backbox is to be fitted in the next few days.

the car is away a little longer than originally planned as there is a big surprise which will impress you all im sure... laugh

Its a superb job and a gorgeous colour change happy

i thought aggy had pearlescent paint? since it stays white all the time but has a blue tint in the laquer??

aint this flip paint?? where the car actually flips to a diff colour i.e purple to blue to green etc
[Linked Image]

any news on the speed bumps being built in your area aggy?
Posted By: scoop Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 5:09pm
I think its a slight flip or an extreme pearl or chromoflair. It is really vivid like and pearls arent normally that severe. Mines a pearl as it has gold in it but its only visible slightly. Love it wotever it is
Posted By: Dazza Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 5:20pm
Scoop you'll find that Metallic matey!
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 5:27pm
yea on a sunny day the sun kinda makes my car look silver in places, its probly the fact its metallic paint, but i might just call it flip paint lol
Posted By: scoop Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 5:51pm
No arguments please. Mine is a pearl i know for sure, only aggy knows what his is as he asked for it,and adams is metallic i think but it may be a pearl. i have seen pearl blacks before.Any ideas what it is Ad?
Posted By: Meesh Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 7:58pm
Went and seen Aggy's car in the garage today in the daylight

Its not as extreme flip as the purple/blue/green you see on most flips

its cos its two light colours, pearl blue and white.

It does flip though
Posted By: grizz Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 25th Apr 2005 8:39pm
The car was repainted white , then a very thick coat of blue pearl ( 3 coat's) % covered with laquer . normaly the pearl is mixed with the laquer but you don't get a strong colour that way. The big problem is that you can't ever repaint 1 panel as it will never look the same .Why did i do it !!!!!!!!!

Sweet rims aggy makes a MASSIVE difference.

Has this stopped the arse hitting things?

New paint jobs sound sweet to.

When its finished get some pics and list of mods of to some mags should get you a good feature.
Posted By: Gary Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 27th Oct 2005 11:25am
describe the paintjob to us more aggy.

i REALLY like your current one to be honest only improvement i oculd think about for that is a stronger blue in the paint so it stands out more
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 27th Oct 2005 12:20pm
Gary...the lower half will be a pearlescent purple and the upper half staying the pearl white/blue but the two colours will be seperated by the thin painted line..yet to decide what colour that will be

Either way it will be a very individual car and not another one like it....trust me it will look good

Thanks for the comments stubzy....and Tupac the is a bit more space between the floor and the kit now...so speed bumps are not entirley a struggle now

i just cant wait until ive got the 1.8 GTI engine in and running NOS happy happy
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 27th Oct 2005 12:30pm
Dont get NOS aggy smack Spend the money on some tunning parts that wont run out when the bottles empty!

Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 27th Oct 2005 1:29pm

The spray job is coming on well, all repairs have been done...and its in primer ready for paint..

the colour will be pearlescent purple on the bottom half and staying the same colour on the top half, but they will be seperated by a thin, gradually getting thicker graphite line with black airbrush either side, will look sweet me thinks...hopefully get it back for friday...

Paint job sounds sweet there man. This 2.0 bottom end. IS it better to put the 1.8 head on it or the 2.0 head? What are the differences. The 2.0 may have massive valves in comparison to the 1.8, and a more aggresive cam profile
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 16th Nov 2005 9:01pm
i dont have the 2.0 head unfortunatley, which is why id be using the 1.8 head...

Third and best reason for the carburetors is the esthetics... The setup simply looks really nice!!!! and it sounds mean! Once an addict, you'll never go back.
sounds an expensive addiction!

but will be worth it eh lad? thumbsup laugh

Aggy, better make it a single 40, or you wont be able to afford the fuel to go out anywhere raftl
Posted By: scoop Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 17th Nov 2005 7:37pm
When a car has carbs it dont need an ECU as the carbs are 'jetted' to control the mix,not an ECU

The "proper performance nutters" fit carbs to ECU and boddied cars (RS2K escorts with I4 engines converted to twin 45s)

The Dizzy smile

The fueling for carbs is sorted by the vacume in the inlet manifold and the size of the jets in the carb. The spark is controlled by the dizzy and is mechanical, and doesnt need an ecu as the whole process is mechanical.

Only cars with injectors require and ecu (TB's, single and multipoint injection), though I wouldnt be surprised if someone somewhere has fitted some sort of ECU to a carb car - though its not the norm.

Purple or pink ? ? pink is your colour mate...
Posted By: Sanchez Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 23rd Nov 2005 1:55am
saw you down the rock lad, very nice, would of loved to stay out and look at it for longer but it was to dark to appreciate it, and far too cold mate, will see it in the day to get the full effect, well done lad, back on the slate with spray force again, lol
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 23rd Nov 2005 1:20pm
Yeh cheers andy, as youve probably guessed i got the car back...

its a very nice job, very different and indivdual..

the top half is like a cream white and the bottom half is like a brilliant white, seperated with a graphite stripe that goes along the side of the car and onto the boot into a V-shape, its difficult to explain with outpics but will get some up asap...

but at night time the paint goes pearl blue on the top half and pearl purple/pinkinsh..lol

but it looks wicked and ive never seen anything like it before!
Posted By: scoop Re: Aggy : Seat Ibiza - 23rd Nov 2005 1:49pm
After all that "not pink" talk lol. Im sure it looks sweet mate but get some pics up lad

its basically the same colour paint, but like a brilliant white on the bottom half underneath the line, but with pearl purple in it which you cant see in that light...and the same pearl blue on the top half....looks good mate!

plus all the repairs have been done and the bodywork is back to mint condition

Sweet looking. Only thing is cos you have bigger wheels the small disk thing comes into place.

I know you havent got massive power but bigger breaks would look good.

Like the 2 tone looks sweet.

Its the 1st time i have seen it just goes to show how long its been since i last came to a meet willl have to sort that out.

Great car mate keep it up.
