No idea, I didn't put it on. It's straight off the boat and some idiot owned it by the looks of it. They've put the bodykit on with mastic and it's starting to get mouldy eek

It's meant to be going in to a local bodyshop on Saturday/Monday to get the kit taken off and put on properly.

I went round Elvington last week only running 5psi of boost due to the incorrectly set up bleed valve so that's just about to be increased slightly laugh

how can somebody with a car like that use mastic with a kit, whoever it was needs to give their head a wobble!!!!!

but on a plus, thats one sweet motor u got yourself there! wink
Posted By: evo ad Re: Evo Ad - Skyline R33 2.5 GTS-T - 20th Jan 2006 5:38pm
Ok the bodykit was removed and put back on how it should have been in the first place with the arches flushed to the body. Both sides have been sprayed too.

Managed so squeeze some 18" alloys on too:

Not sure what i'm doing to it next but i've been looking at either NOS or a front mounted intercooler, or both.

Was behind you today by the pyrmids carpack.

THEN I OVERTOOK YOU IN THE MONDEO raftl

You fixed the problems you got from the trackday?

Car looked good saw aload of kids bowing down raftl

Skylines wounderfull cars would love one.
Posted By: evo ad Re: Evo Ad - Skyline R33 2.5 GTS-T - 25th Jan 2006 8:25pm
Think I saw you. Was it the white Mondeo with the fog lights? Yes the problems have all been fixed at last from the track day after some months. The car was only boosting to 5 psi on the track and it's boosting loads better now and much quicker.

I'm looking foward to the next track day.

Nitrous is defo going on by next week followed by a huge front mounted intercooler which should see the power rise to over 350bhp. Need to get it all ready by the end of Feb for a run wot yer brung at the Pod.

Latest addition is the NOS. Only got 60bhp jets in at the moment and seeing how it runs before going to 100bhp jets. Intercooler coming soon...

I haven't got round to trying the NOS out properly yet on this but the Prelude and now made a HUGE difference since I got hold of an electric blanket and a 12v power invertor. Makes the bottle nice and warm in less than an hour and a lot cheaper than paying over £200 for a bottle warmer laugh
Posted By: lazy_ben Re: Evo Ad - Skyline R33 2.5 GTS-T - 6th Feb 2006 7:21pm
Saw this go past me before on the B&Q roundabout. Very nice laugh
Posted By: scoop Re: Evo Ad - Skyline R33 2.5 GTS-T - 6th Feb 2006 8:37pm
why do they warm the nitrous bottles,is it to raise the pressure, because the point of nitrous is for it to be cold, cold=lower pressure but more dense, warm=higher pressure and less dense.6 of one and 1/2 dozen of other i think?
Posted By: evo ad Re: Evo Ad - Skyline R33 2.5 GTS-T - 6th Feb 2006 8:47pm
yes you need to warm the bottle to achieve the optimum pressure which is around 950psi. On a cold day of say 5°c without warming the bottle, you only get around 450psi therefore resulting in severe loss of performance. On a day which is below freezing you may not even notice any difference when the nos is activated, it really does make that much difference between a hot and a cold bottle!
