Mods so for (none by me)

lowered 80mm

Zetec S rear end conversion (boot spoiler bumper lights)

xr/rs side skirts

powerflow back box

smoothed bonnet

I am going to buy 40mm springs as its to low because i need to carry passengers.

Also going to follow dazza's instructions and put the engine from the mondeo into the fezzy so if anybody wants to make me a offer on the fezzy si engine then do so.

Also going to get some wheels sorted might but 25m springs and put Escort cossie wheels on it.

I do like fiesta's so will be keeping this for sometime even when the 4i is finnished i will turn my attention to this.

Posted By: Sanchez Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 26th Dec 2005 8:27pm
are you goin to do much to this one or is it just a runner
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 26th Dec 2005 9:14pm
Going to tidy it up put the 2lte from the mondeo in it and all my ice oh and get some wheels.

Just bought 40mm springs off e-bay so when they come i will chuck em on and use a set of alloys i bought for the 4i till i can get proper ones.

Going to keep the car as a runner till i get the 4i up and when that happens i will take the si and sort it out good n proper.

If money is good could be seeing rwd.

Like fiesta's me this is my 7th one.

No you change everything drive train floor everything.

Gartrack used to do it its alot of work £3000 but its only a idea i used to own a mk3 Escort that was rwd (lad i bought it of did the change) that had a 2ltr sierra engine and that was loads of fun (used it to race in the british hotrod club STOCKCAR RACING).

MMMMMMMMMMMM possible to low think

Thought i would try the car with the 80mm drop on some 195/60/14 NO CHANCE sits for to low looks good but would rip the bumper off 1st time a ran a bump over raftl

Going to start the suspension swap on weds then its just little things that need doing to get it on the road.

When that happens i am going to get new arches and sideskirts so i can get the old one's off as they are fooked.
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 26th Jan 2006 10:26am
Cos i am lazzy person i am swaping the springs today and oh my god its cold.

Just thought i would update the car pics alittle.

Car looks alot better with the wheels on just need to sort out a couple of problems now.

Drivers door pin (door drops alittle when opened)

Power steering pumps gone and it makes a horrible sound when turning.

Car stalls alot when could and only idles at 500 rpm.

Carnt open the boot propley need to pull a wire from inside to open it.

clutch is very strange very low.

Need to swap the back springs as i am lazy and have only done the fronts.

Might be getting shocks and springs soon as i dont like the ride anyway.

Need different wheels but that can wait.

Side skirts and arches are comming off as the are hanging on (JUST)

Bonnet and boot are a different shade of blue

Boot needs rubbing down and spraying again.

There is more but i think i have said enough to keep me bizzy for a couple of weeks.

ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEA'S FOR SIDE SKIRTS AND ARCHES.

The clutch is low b'cos its a good/new one mate, thats how there ment to feel (The bite is low, just as you life the clutch pedal it moves).

Come round my garage sometime and i'll try that 2.0/1.6 TB, that should sort the idle problem mate

If your just wanting to re-attach them then Windscreen bonding stuff is the daddy
happy

Know someone who used it (Without screws or other fastenings) on some sideskirts and a bonnet vent on a 306 a couple of years ago and they are still attached smile
Posted By: scoop Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 9th Feb 2006 6:08pm
use tigerseal to reattach em,and just give em a tidy up,the jack covers look a bit fooked that all, love the look of this car,it just needs some car, whats the idle problem,is it a zetec engine?
Posted By: Dazza Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 9th Feb 2006 7:03pm
Idle problem is the adjustment screw, it wont screw out. As said I have a 2.0/1.6 TB that should do the trick
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 9th Feb 2006 9:19pm
I dont want to keep the rs/xr arches n skirts want somthing else.
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 15th Feb 2006 7:37pm
Had a little play with the car today to try and sort a couple of problems out.

1st thing i did was get the dam thing running proplr managed that so it dosnt want to stall everytime you dip the clutch (did idle at 600rpm).

Had a look about under the car to see if i could sort the power steering problem out only to find it hard to see with all the oil and fluid all over the bottom of the engine. Did notice that the pump itself isnt bolted on proper so will have a go on sat (ran out of light) and hopfully that will help.

Also started making plans to remove all the skirts looks like i am going to need a drill (again bad light stoped play) as some screws are well srewed.

To open the boot on my car you need to pull a speeker wire (this mod will catch on) so i am going to fit a solenoid from a xr2i is this a easy job.
[Linked Image]

Anthoer problem i have is the door pins buggered and the door drops when you open it. No matter what i did i couldnt get the pin out (bottom one) does anybody have the tool ford use as its a pain in the arse to do.

Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 15th Feb 2006 9:02pm
No mate thought that myself at 1st think it has to be wacked out with a hammer its just getting at it pain in the rear end.
Posted By: Dazza Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 15th Feb 2006 9:04pm
They knock out, dose it with WD40 and jack the door alittle to take the weight off the pin - You'll need a hammer and a thin-ish punch
Posted By: Johnny Alan Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 15th Feb 2006 9:05pm
does the head accept an allen key though?? ( cant see them just being pushed in. Does the pin turn???, have you tryed a pair of mole grip???
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 21st Feb 2006 7:02pm
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR mad mad Head fell of the pin now its stuck in the door and i carnt get it.

Going to take it to a body shop see if they will do it STUPID THING.

With me making plans for the 4i think i am going to leave the si as it is just tidy it up alittle and put my ice in it maybe get some different wheels.

I guess you have come out crying mate.

Lots of little jobs that will mount up.
If you can drive it around to our sponsors,
Spray force, duttons, for a quote.

Or call them, at least you will be able to
sit in your chair when they say how much.

If you dont have the time or the money,
looks like the sale will fall through.

Gutted for yu.
Posted By: scoop Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 5th Apr 2006 6:32pm
1. power steering inoperative (maybe down to the lack of fluid? and dead pump)

2. power steering pipe (s) or hose (s) leaking (easily replaced from scrapyard donor)

3. Nearside rear anti-roll bar attachment bracket/mounting cracked (as above)

4. Offside rear anti-roll bar attachment bracket/mounting cracked (as above)

5. No split pins in both t.r.e. steering component is not secure to the vihicle (get and fit a split pin)

6. Parking brake lever has no reserve travel (new set of shoes)

7. Both rear ns front brake pipe excessivly corroded (replaced with scrapyard items)

8. Steering column movement between the shaft and steering wheel(tighten up or replace?)

9. Exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gases(quick weld job,can be done by cybox)

10.Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content at idle exessive(remove all engine mods and try again, may need a couple of sensors renewing)

Couple of hundred quid easy, even if u do most of the work urself

11.Drivers door does not latch securely closed

12.Front passenger door cannot be opened from outside the vehicle.

hi there the problem with revs going down to 500 is due to the air flow meter as it did it on my old 130spec onion.

Spacers generally put strain onto the bearings, but in most cases this is hardly an issue...

Get the longer studs and NOT the screw-on extenders, they are supposed to be dangerous... happy

Well picked up my bodykit today and mmmmm its wide.

THE TAPE IS SO YOU CAN SEE HOW WIDE IT IS AND I HAVE THE SIDE SKIRTS BUT NEVER PUT EM ON.

Yer should look great.

Just need to get a petrol cap and tube.

Wheel spacers

different front bumper know the one i want but will have to work on the person to get it.

And a roof spoiler
Posted By: turbo_stu Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 26th Apr 2006 11:02pm
looking good! what look are you going for? a fiesta cossie or just a wide arch?
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 26th Apr 2006 11:19pm
Just a wide arch look not looking at getting a cossie front n back bumper only because it was never a car for sale and i want to stamp my own thing on the car because alot of people know the car from when Rennie owned it and i still get you not done anthing to it then.
Posted By: Mark Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 27th Apr 2006 5:22pm
Looks sweet mate happy

When sprayed is it staying the same colour?
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 27th Apr 2006 8:54pm
Dont know was thinking of a deep purple colour.
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 2nd May 2006 12:07am
Anybody know what size wheels i will be able to run with the arches on. ( the inner arch as it will be known the old outer arch that is THE METAL ONE you all following) will be cut away as much as pos so i could run bigger wheels but i am unsure on what size i could run without making the car look stupid.

Also might have my 2ltr in and running by the end of june if all goes well.
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 6th May 2006 11:13am
After talking it over with the misses i have desided to sell it as its going to cost me alot of money to get it through the mot.

Its now on ebay it will be a shame to see it go but it just needs to much work doing to it to keep so i am selling and may buy one with a 2ltr in it or somthing rwd i will have to see.

(admin dont close topic yet please thumbsup )
Posted By: turbo_stu Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 6th May 2006 11:31pm
for sale again! lets hope it sells this time! your plans did sound good but also costly, probabily best you let it go and find something with a bit more ooomph!
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 7th May 2006 12:41am
Its the lack of rwd that puts me off the car.

I like it and if i could take it off the road i would and put a 2ltr in it and give it to the girlfriend but thats not going to happen.

WHEN IT SELLS (even if its for £50) i may buy a 2ltr si but i am also looking at somthing else so lets just see what happens.

What ever i get though will stay the same condition its in because i want the 4i up and running.
Posted By: Dazza Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 9th May 2006 12:47am
If your after a 2.0 SI, give me a shout. You supply the bits (I'll tell you what I need) and we'll come to an agreement on price etc as you know, I know my stuff about them. I get alot of randoms asking me questions because they've been on my site and its suprising how far the name gets spread.

Shame its for sale as it does have potential bar all the little niggly things wrong with it. It might be worth getting in MOT'd as in all honesty it hasnt failed on welding, and am sure your capable of fitting the new bits even if you give me a shout or knock around here. You know, as does everyone if I dont tear into it straight away it takes ages to get down so make sure I decide a day when to do the bits and bobs (Such as the shells on the 4i that I havnt got around to doing).

Its a pitty you cant try my 2.0 Fiesta out as I think that really would sway your decision on this car, of course money depending. Give me a ring sometime wink
Posted By: spinking Re: Tupac : Fiesta si - 9th May 2006 9:19am
I still may have a 2.0 fiesta depends what comes up for sale.

I took into account what needs doing on the car and then what i want and i am looking at a stupid amount of money. With me wanting to get the other car(didnt mention the name raftl ) up n running i want somthing that doesnt need alot doing to it plus the girlfriends driving soon and will need the car so i would rather have one that wont break on her.

I am looking around as i will have a good amount of money to spend once i get back of my hols.

Noticed you put a checky bid on the si raftl .
