Hi,

Havnt posted on here in a few weeks, but here is my new motor.

It is a Honda Civic Coupe 1.6 SR VTEC. Has about 135BHP and will do 60 in just under 8.5 as (virtually) standard.

It is a gorgeous car to drive, holds the road far better than the AX and is reliable and quiet.

Was cruising on a cough private road the other day at over 120mph.

I have quite alot planned for it in the next few months, when i have saved some money, firstly the side skirts and panneling is getting colour coded, getting a new spoiler, probs about double the size of the stock spoiler, getting some euro tail lights, would of got lexus lights if the wernt so common and projector angel eyes headlights.

Body kit this time next year maybe?

What you think?

had a look around to see if you could get some LED rear lights?

They aint common, and look spot on

bomex kit, or wings west are the smart ones for the coupe

why not colour coded lights

what you done to the engine to gain 12BHP? cool

are you going to be going for the fast+furious/american look or something a bit different??

Approx power mate, was going of the last owners tweeks advice, besides, that top speed says 119, i was easily touching 120.

Going to take it to a rolling road, all i care about, is that it is faster than Saxo VTR's and most other 1.6's smile

Not to sure what i am going to do with it yet, I got alloys on it, but may get others.

If I was gonna buy a road car to mod to the bollox it'd have to be a civic coupe. Spot on car man, would love one. I'd go fast and furious style and include a bad boy bonnet

BTW if you're changing the spoiler can I have dibs on the old one? tease laugh My bro will have it for his 306 saloon.

And the tinted lights look the best i reckon.

ah rite its just that most manufacturers are pretty prescise when it comes to BHP figures.

Looks like another Civic to be whooped on the 1/4 mile!!!!
Posted By: AX_125 Re: My new motor - 25th Aug 2004 5:43pm
That sounds a good challenge.

Cant afford mods atm, so will be going for weight saving i think.

I know that i can beat a standard VTR MK1 & 2 without to much trouble, i believe there is a car show soon with a 1/4 mile? Will see you there smile

Oh Adam, i spoke to the guy today, he recons it is about 126 - 130 BHP standard and doesnt know why it is higher than Parkers suggest.

aye me to, was looking on ebay, and i emailed a honda specialist who said he is hopefully getting them in stock.

Would cost about £180 to import from the states.

i think it would be worth it as they look well nice
Posted By: AX_125 Re: My new motor - 8th Sep 2004 5:08pm

If i get them i am going to get the dark head lights to compliment them, first cheap'ish mods for the car.

Posted By: AX_125 Re: My new motor - 14th Sep 2004 10:18am
Yeah, going on hols (hopefully) in 2 weeks so mods will start then.

I may be able to get my hand on some chrome style wheels pretty cheap from my GF's Uncle who is selling his civic coupe (anyone interested PM me)

Unfortunatly, with insurance restrictions, i can only get insured on 16" wheels.
