Got fault on wipers not sure if wiper motor contacts or switch. Normal speed and intermittant dont work and fast works but blades dont park properly when switched off. Rear works ok. Any clues.?
Can get a replacement switch on ebay for only £7 so may go that route first

What car is it

Could be the wear or deterioration of the electrical contact prongs in the motor, especially if the rubber seal on the motor inspection plate has begun to perish.

Like Willo says, all depends on the make, model and year of car.

cheers
Citroen Berlingo Multispace Forte Diesel car registered 2000.

Is knowing make model and year of car only significant in terms of regular faults with that car?

The fault you describe is almost certainly in the motor, the give away being the inability to self park. On some vehicles this is caused by the wiper motor being in a well, the drain of which blocks, flooding the motor & destroying the contacts. Peugeot 306s were known for it! Good Luck. Skylarc.

Cheers skylarc-- will attack the motor first.
