Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has had dealings with Wallasey Motor Company on Seaview Road. Would like to know if they are ok and can be trusted should I choose to take my hard earned cash there.

they the ones that do MOT's for like £27????

i had an MOT there a few years back and knew full well that i needed some stuff doing even before i went there to book it. they were actually really honest and open. they simply confirmed what work i knew needed to be done (a mechanic relative's friend told me what was needed and the approx cost) and their price was spot on and the work was a decent quality. (i was quoted by my relative's friend "about £80-£90" and it came to £86.50 so they were good.

if it's not the place i'm thinking of then ignore me.

edit: i was thinking of the one in cross lane, ignore this post.

Had no direct dealings, but heard bad things, I would recommend a check around first

Try Mike Hurst off Seabank Road. I have heard good things about him.

I would recommend Mike Hurst too from experience.

I have not had any dealings with them but they have been there a fair time which usually suggests they are doing something right.

How can you talk about anyone's business when you haven't used them

I heard about Hitler, I would recommend checking first, heard he`s a bad lad. I`ll pop around and check.

If quite a few people say someones no good, I tend to go with the flow. Thats how you talk about anyone`s business, also Cowboy Builders on tv recommend getting other people experiences, so "Dont get done, get DOM"

I would recommend you avoid them like the plague, also the other "dealership" in liscard too. Reasons, an ex bought a car from the "dealership" and it was awful and so was the after sales. Liscard motor company, you may as well just go to the auctions and take a chance because that's a business model that may be followed there!

I purchased a Vauxhall from them, it was a great car, drove like new. It is always up to buyer to check, though.

If in doubt about a place and you dont really know much about cars always worth asking someone to who does know to take a look at the car. The cost will be recouped in savings if something major is wrong.
