Does anyone know what our road tax is used for cos it certainly aint maintaining our roads, bloody pot holes are breeding

Road Tax has nothing to do with fixing pot holes. Its the licence you pay to be allowed to use the carriageway.

Its not even that because you can now get cars with zero rated road tax. Here's a list of cars that pay no road tax:

"Road tax" is duty on vehicle emissions.
